At the very centre of CFO In a Box is owner, founder and Chief Financial Officer Gillian Rayfield.

Formerly a Financial Controller, and General Manager of the Financial and Commercial Departments of an ASX 200 Company, Gillian has led high-level financial teams in both Australia and the United Kingdom.

She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers — where she rose rapidly through the ranks, winning a prestigious PwC Business Planning Competition — and now boasts almost three decades of accounting experience, in both Chartered and corporate environments.

Gillian established CFO In A Box in 2009 to service small and medium enterprises requiring the high-level financial and commercial advice and analysis of a CFO, on a ‘part-time’ basis, to support their rapid business growth.

Since then, she has provided in-depth financial support services to a range of clients and guided several start-up companies from inception to the appointment of a full-time CFO, consulting as needed to assist in a smooth transition process.

Mirroring the success of her clients, Gillian has expanded CFO In A Box over time, and is now supported by a hard-working, well-organised and highly-efficient Australian-based team.

As a result, CFO In A Box now provides a comprehensive suite of financial services, from basic end-of-month bookkeeping to Human Resources consulting and ESOP plan management — essentially offering a full-time Finance Department in a part-time package.
